On tap at River Of Beer, updated 2016 All Malt Lager stays sessionable as sticky honey malt sweetness enhances perfumed citrus hops. Just too obvious and oblivious style-wise, perhaps.

VON TRAPP HELLES LAGER
Fine 2015-originated Vermont brewer crafts strictly lagers and pilsners (as of May 2016). Endearing ‘golden lager’ brings spicy lemon tang to doughy cereal-grained biscuit malts and grassy hops for easygoing, sessionable moderation.
SURLY HELL LAGER
Not a particularly popular or convincing beer style since the musty pilsner malt breading and sourdough-skunked zwickel yeast musk defining this beloved Midwestern helles lager will put-off sweet-toothed imbibers (like Heineken oft-time does). Lemon-rotted sourness keeps floral-perfumed whim and metallic sheen at bay. Not a personal fave, but enjoyed by many German-influenced beer geeks.
CHURCH STREET HEAVENLY HELLES LAGER
Mellow straw-cleared Bavarian lager offers sour yellow fruiting to subtle sourdough scamper and light herbaceous tease. Initial lemony grapefruit souring secured by mild grassy hop astringency and wispy white-wined cider tartness. Effervescent citric-spiced finish will please lighter thirsts.

CIGAR CITY HOTTER THAN HELLES LAGER
Peaceful yellow-hazed light body in a can may be stylishly soft, but mild doughy wheat flouring, dry pale malting and biscuit-y cracker spine complement slender citric tropicalia quite well. Wispy lemon-limed mandarin orange, tangerine, mango, kiwi, passion fruit and pineapple tang remains delicate.
TERRAPIN PINEAPPLE EXPRESS
Intriguingly hybridized fruited helles lager proves to be a winning formula. By curbing its smoked pineapple puree influence, varied tropical notions illuminate the zesty front end. Lemony pineapple, guava, mango, papaya and yellow grapefruit glaze provides summery template. Subtle beechwood-kilned peat smoke and campfire kindling drapes pulpy fruiting.

(DER HIRSCH) ADLERKONIG BAVARIAN LAGER
Mediocre yellow-cleared light body brings delicate sourdough yeast to sharp lemony hop bite and salted cracker spine. Gluey paper, cardboard and resin notions come and go.
(TRI-CITY) HELL’S HALF MILE GERMAN-STYLE HELLES LAGER
Nebulous blue collar fodder lacks true Munich-styled helles lagering as phenol astringency nearly buries raw-honeyed dried wheat scouring and prickly grassy-hopped citric-quince stint to weak doughy bottom. Buttery malting turns diacetyl right away.
RAMSTEIN SUMMER BOCK
On tap at Copper Mine, likable soft-toned helles bock brings polite citric-spiced lemon-limed tartness and ancillary banana sweetness to buttery white-breaded spine. Resinous herbal-hopped respite fills out delicate backend of easygoing summertime session beer.
ROCK ART HELL’S BOCK
Gritty hybridized bronze-hazed helles bock closer to an India Pale Ale with its sweet fruited spicing and bitter piney hop respite. Grapefruit-peeled orange-peach-pineapple tropicalia supercedes honeyed malting. Disclaimer: Pour slowly or risk over-carbonation.
AUGUSTINER EDELSTOFF
Easygoing clear-yellowed Munich-styled helles lager offers polite pale malted mineral graining and delicate grassy-hopped dryness to salted citric intimation. Earthen fungi bottom reinforces lemony orange-grapefruit spritz of snazzy summer seasonal.
