Easygoing Northeast-styled IPA with briskly clean-watered freshness offers zesty orange-peeled yellow grapefruit tang, mild resinous hop bittering and wispy lactose acidity above delicate oats-dried wheat spine. Spritzy lemon licks brush up against subsidiary mango-peach-pineapple tropicalia. A sunshiny citric hop-dolloped moderation.

ICARUS WAIKIKAMUKAU
On tap at Poor Henry’s, zesty New Zealand-inspired dry-hopped IPA boasts resilient “tropical juiciness.” Mildly creamed crystal malting backs up bright grapefruit, orange, pineapple, peach, tangerine, mango and guava tang as well as sweet floral spicing and mildly resinous hop phenols. Heavenly.

On tap at Poor Henry’s, so-called “Citric Acid Trip” fermented with Brux Trois yeast lets tart yellow grapefruit entry scour lemony mandarin orange zest above mild herbal hops and semi-sweet pale malts. Lingered citric acidity moderates over time for enhanced pale ale.
ICARUS PINEAPPLE HINDENBURG HABANERO PALE ALE
On tap at Shepherd & Knucklehead – Hoboken, mellow habanero burn deepens in the throat while candied pineapple sweetness struggles for room atop pale-malted caramelization. A zestier pineapple tang would be welcome.
