On tap at Beef Trust. Despite tropical label, its muskily cologne-perfumed lemon oiling, pithy dry-spiced orange desiccation and sour grapefruit-guava-passionfruit blur never fully integrate with wet hop absorption compromising the murky caramelized barley base. Nebulous.
Rum-licked pineapple zesting, coconut toasting and marshmallow creaming burrows mildly lingering yellow grapefruit-peeled lemon rind bittering. But phenol acidity dissolves early spirit, soaking up the sugar-rimmed cocktail entry.
Slightly sour lemony blueberry tartness and sunshiny pineapple-guava-grapefruit auxiliary scamper thru wearily defined nickel-hued Mosaic-Lemondrop-hopped IPA (with well hidden 8% ABV). Sour cranberry-crabapple illusions nearly outweigh its compromised citric zing. Needs firmer distinction.
Pillowy soft, fluffily white-headed pale yellow body features New Zealand’s Motueka-hopped tropical fruit souring. Typical East Coast IPA-like lemony orange pith bittering and mildly embittered piney hop astringency engage tartly limed peach, passionfruit and guava sourness over creamily soft-toned crystal pale malting.
Efficiently modest, soft-tongued, Galaxy-hopped IPA brings easygoing lemony grapefruit-orange tang and ancillary tangerine-pineapple-mango-peach tropicalia to subtle piney hop resin, leaving a hint of dank bitterness above mild oated wheat base. A tidy easygoer pale ale lovers could enjoy as much as less bitter hop-heads.
Lemony yellow grapefruit zesting brightens Citra-hopped moderation. In the midst, mild tangerine-pineapple-mango prickle and tart candied orange snip pick up wispy juniper-nipped pine resin above neutral oated wheat base.
On tap at Ambulance, lemony grapefruit and orange tanginess picked up polite piney bittering and mild grassy astringency to contrast its sugary pale malt base.
On tap at Ambulance, easygoing IPA (with suspect New England styling) lets lightly creamed crystal malting anchor lemony orange, pineapple and mango tropicalia sharpened slightly by dank herb-roasted pine tones. Woody Simcoe hops contrast fruity Mosaic/Citra hops.
On tap at Plank Pizza, dry English IPA delicately plies stylish dewy fungi musk, desiccated fig tartness, earthen nuttiness and rustic herbage to buttered biscuity malting. Serve to extra special bitter fans as well.
On tap at Schatzi’s – Poughkeepsie, easygoing straw-hazed tropical moderation places mild grapefruit bittering next to orange-peeled tangerine, pineapple and lychee tang above oats-flaked wheat bottom. Simple, pleasurable IPA (despite ghoulish monster image on label).
On tap at Plank Pizza, soft-toned grapefruit, orange, peach and pineapple tang greets delicate piney hop resin and grassy astringency above mildly creamed crystal malting.
