(DE PROEF) OMNIPOLLO MAZARIN
MOA PALE ALE
RUSHING DUCK NAYSAYER PALE ALE
On tap at Cable Beverage, well-rounded medium-bodied pale ale utilizes brisk West Coast-styled IPA fruiting to louden its resolve. Piquant grapefruit peel bittering, dry wood tone and grassy hop grounding contrast floral-bound orange, cherry, peach, pineapple, grape, apple and tangerine fruiting. Nearly exquisite.
(WILD ONION) PADDY PALE ALE
Though its sharp hop bittering emboldens the briskly carbolic front end, scaring away less seasoned pale ale imbibers, gnarly vodka-like alcohol burn, wafting compost flutter and rusty metallic sheen overwhelm expectant orange-grapefruit-pineapple-quince fruiting of canned medium body. Backsided sourdough breading feels right but vegetal tinge disrupts murky flavor profile.
SPRING HOUSE SEVEN GATES PALE ALE
Crisply clean fresh-fruited medium body appeases hearty hopheads with its bold approach and sharp IPA-like citric bittering, overriding stylistic parameters without excluding bourgeoisie pale ale accessibility. Spritzy lemon-hopped bite and dry floral pining reinforce tangy orange-apple-pineapple conflux (and recessive celery slip) to biscuity malt bottom.
SPIDER BITE FIRST BITE PALE ALE
GREY SAIL FLYING JENNY EXTRA PALE ALE
Heavenly IPA-like bitter in a can will please hearty hopheads. More robust than a stylistically typical pale ale, allowing its sharp piney citric bite to criss-cross tangy apricot, tangerine, pineapple and quince sweetness. Increasingly effective grapefruit rind and orange peel bittering enhances resinous wood dryness and spicy tropical fruiting above saltine base.
GREAT SOUTH BAY ROBERT MOSES PALE ALE
SUSQUEHANNA 6TH GENERATION STOCK ALE
On tap at Poconos’ Log Cabin Bar, stylistically robust and well balanced pale ale lavishes sharp perfumed hops onto viscous lacquered fruiting. Spicy lemon-peeled orange, peach, grapefruit and quince tones casually decorate doughy biscuit-like backdrop. A fine crossover to stronger IPA styling. Less efficient bottled version brings sheepish crystal-malted red, orange and yellow fruiting to spritzy dry-hopped spicing. Mild metallic astringency raids faded citric-spiced finish.
(NEW BELGIUM) DIG PALE ALE
Fair springtime moderation for sweaty lawn mowers and beer-bellied boaters. Lacking a certain punch, slick lemony grapefruit sugaring overrides advertised ‘passion fruit-mango-peach’ tropicalia and grassy hop salting. Honeyed caramel malt backbone sweetens zesty citric aspect and earthen herbal nip.
