Toasted wheat and ‘windmilled grains’ smoothen cherry ripeness, cane sugar sweetening, and caramel-mocha malt wisp of coppery ruby hazed ale. Cola nut, cocoa, and purple grape illusions fall off as mild alcohol astringency and floral barleywine finish expand.

Halfway decent malt-fruited ruddish-clouded ale insignificant amongst strong stylistic competition. Needs sharper barley-hop bite.  Brewery defunct: 2001.

Delicately rustic barley roast insistence and mellow wheat-toasted malt flow integrate satisfying spice nut finish that’s closer to a soft-toned brown ale in comparison. Brewery defunct: 2005.

Peculiar maroon-ruby-hued medium body places buttery brown sugared Scotch malts atop smoked peat waver, black cherry-soured red grape tartness, and mild chestnut-peanut roast. Bittersweet baker’s chocolate absorbs faded Band-Aid mouthfeel. Metallic astringency compromises acrid earthen hop dryness.

Top notch cola-hued red ale not far removed from Extra Special Bitter styling with its highly-hopped citric sharpness and burnt caramel malt pleat. Refined mineral grain precision and lusty mocha sweetness furnish firm foundation.

Whiskey-scented hop-toasted ale gains roasted chocolate divulgence and vanilla-butterscotch swirl to smoked nut finish. But burnt caramel undertone needs vigor.

Resilient copper hazed full body well suited to bitter hopheads. Sharply citric Cascade hop bite upped by wood-dried currant-scurried grapefruit-orange peel bittering remedying floral-accented apricot-peach tang. At finish, syrupy malts reinforce bittersweet fruitiness.

Fine ruby-coppered ale with piney grapefruit-orange rind uprising given bright spruce-tipped hop pep and red apple-ripened peach-pear-nectarine tang. Red and purple grape esters also overlay wheat-cracked caramel malting. Compares to spicier Arcadia IPA and less sharp Fisherman’s Ale, only fruitier.

Bottled version of Reading brewpub’s affable dry-hopped red ale tethers congenial floral spicing to toasted barley-wheat base, absorbing bittersweet peach-tangerine-grapefruit tang. Latent metallic swagger depletes tertiary honeyed nut, fruitcake, and pear-apple illusions.

Circuitous cola-hazed moderate body with fizzy round-bubbled head and prolonged Cascade hop frisk goes beyond stylistic inclination. Delicate raisin, nutmeg and toffee illusions enhance toasted caramelized barleymalt efficiency to cocoa-buttered finish. Serve as subtle alternative to creamier barleywines. Located afresh chocolate-pecan finesse, earthen dried tobacco regress, cooked vegetable passivity and hemp oil residue while quaffing ’07 Spring Ale version.

Translucent amber medium-bodied pap as plain and indistinct as its soured malt palate, sterile barley roast, thin maize midst, and drably dry fruited hop finish.

Sweet caramel apple tongue welcomes amber-hued moderation. Nice butterscotch touch and meager red grape reminder done in by diacetyl finish.
