CISCO THE GREY LADY (WIT)

Peculiarly refreshing yellow-hazed Belgian-styled witbier blends spices, herbs, and fruit nuances in silkily bizarre manner. Musty raw-honeyed banana souring grazes white-peppered spearmint-jasmine-ginger freshness and clove-coriander-chamomile-anise spicing, but advertised tropical fruiting is overrated. Quirky champagne-fizzed bruised apple, rotted apricot, white peach, and putrefied lemon illusions not as unpleasant as it sounds. Photo courtesy of www.halftimebeverage.com

SAMUEL ADAMS BLACKBERRY WITBIER

Fragrant black and blueberry mouthfeel more pronounced than phenol-hopped cranberry souring. Metallic twang soaks up tart fruited candy influence to soapy blackberry finish. Needs thicker malt seepage and sturdier white-breaded spine. On second passing, ripe blackberry-raspberry fruiting had firmer honeyed wheat spine and grazing Mandarin orange, tangerine, and peach snip.

LOST COAST GREAT WHITE WITBIER

Musty coriander-jasmine waft, blurred herbaceous accents and honeyed clove pinch nearly lost amongst sunny fruited vibe. Lemon-soured red grapefruit, green apple, mandarin orange, peach and banana glint latches onto concealed wheat portal. Just as lightweight politeness gets ponderous, doughy yeast subtlety and peppery hop zip enliven agile floral citric finish of off-dry sediment-dotted pale-hazed .
